{"id":2268,"date":"2025-02-13T14:12:02","date_gmt":"2025-02-13T19:12:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mi-laborers.org\/?p=2268"},"modified":"2025-02-13T14:12:04","modified_gmt":"2025-02-13T19:12:04","slug":"michigan-laborers-district-council-releases-first-ever-legislative-scorecard-highlighting-pro-labor-champions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mi-laborers.org\/es\/news\/2025\/02\/michigan-laborers-district-council-releases-first-ever-legislative-scorecard-highlighting-pro-labor-champions\/","title":{"rendered":"Michigan Laborers District Council Releases First-Ever Legislative Scorecard, Highlighting Pro-Labor Champions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Lansing, MI, 02\/13\/2025 \u2013 <\/strong>Today, the Michigan Laborers District Council (MI LiUNA) released its first-ever Legislative Scorecard, a comprehensive evaluation of Michigan lawmakers based on their commitment to strengthening workers\u2019 rights, supporting union construction labor, and investing in infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The evaluation considers key factors, including floor votes, sponsorships, co-sponsorships, and other legislative actions that impact construction workers\u2019 rights, wages, and safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAs Laborers, we build Michigan\u2019s roads, bridges, schools, and energy infrastructure,\u201d said Brent Pilarski, Business Manager of the Michigan Laborers District Council. \u201cWe need leaders in Lansing who fight for strong labor protections, good-paying jobs, and investments in our workforce.
